Reflections on 2014 and a warm welcome 2015

 Author: Josh Keegan - Owner/Director

It is that time of the year again where we welcome in a brand New Year and bid a fond farewell to the previous one.

With the down-time over the holiday break, I have had a chance to pause and reflect on the year that was.  2014 has been a very busy year with the usual ups and downs and unique challenges.  Below is a minute example of what happened:

  • New website
  • New BDM's
  • New memberships
  • Returning clients
  • New clients
  • New markets
  • New partnerships
  • Renewed partnerships
  • New and ongoing collaborations
  • Engaging a Social media strategy
  • Tackling Small to Medium Enterprise and
  • Sponsorships
  • HAZOPS facilitation

The list goes on and on.

One thing that stands out for me more than anything about 2014, is the great people and companies who are drawn to working with us.  I am proud to say we are now a very diverse group made up of professionals who, like me, are very passionate about what they do

On a personal note, I have been in the rather unique position of providing inspiration and advice in the past to more than a few individuals. This year saw a number of occasions where I found myself on the receiving end of feedback of my insights and advice of speaking with highly accomplished individuals encouraging new directions in their careers they didn't think possible. Turns out I was also able to link together industries through collaboration initiatives which has set well established organisations on new pathways.

Feedback like this for me is always surprising and very humbling.  Surprising as I know whilst my advice is well thought out and considered, the impacts are always more far reaching than I originally thought possible. Humbling, as those I have advised directly attribute to success to the information I was able to provide them with at just the right moment.

Which brings me to 2015.

If 2014 and previous years are anything to go by, then it is going to be a very interesting year.  Personally, I am looking forward to:

  • Hearing, learning about individuals and working with them to expand their businesses
  • Meeting more people and expanding networks
  • Facilitating cross-market opportunities
  • Expanding into new markets
  • Creating more collaborative opportunities
  • Creating innovation space
  • Speaking engagements

Of course this is just the plan at this point in time and I expect things to change driving us as a group and our partners in new directions we didn't quite foresee making for exciting, challenging and interesting times.

One thing I do expect will not change during the year will be taking the journey together.

From myself and on behalf of the Keegan Consulting Group team, we wish you a very Happy New Year and we look forward to meeting you in 2015.  As always, please contact us if we can be of any assistance.
