ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER AND ENGINEER
James Weidmann is a talented and motivated environmental engineer who started with Keegan Consulting Group in mid-February, 2014.
James has worked for a small air quality consultancy prior to joining our highly experienced team, where he worked for and with clients in the mining, resources, power generation and port industries. He has been deeply involved in a diverse range of projects including environmental regulations, air monitoring, dust management programs, emissions inventory and emissions modelling. He also developed a familiarity with environmental regulatory frameworks, particularly those involving environmental impact studies, the National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) and the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) scheme. Moreover, James has previously studied and has a keen interest in hydrology, energy efficiency, water management and waste management.
He is a leader, a skilled writer and a very fast learner and as of March, 2014 is building on his existing skill set by undertaking further study into Environmental Project Management.
Since 2008, James has achieved immense personal satisfaction, developing broad range of skills assisting the community whilst volunteering with the Queensland State Emergency Service (SES). He has led teams involved in missing person searches, land searches, forensic searches, storm damage and flood clean-up operations. The training and experience he received earn him the rank of senior field operations member.

James is also an accomplished sportsman. He was part of the Queensland Open Men’s futsal team which won the Viking’s Nationals Tournament in 2012.
